| my new scale rig
I finally put down the tools and snapped some shots for everyone! specs- pede tranny locked tlt axles kyosho nitro thrasher shocks 5/16 brake line frame (very light for a scale frame) proline chevy body onto the pics- I dont have the tires just yet, but this is a rough ride height. I am going to go with the swamp dawgs because they just look soooo nice under it! Scoot Last edited by OIT_TLT; 12-13-2005 at 05:10 PM. |

It looks good so far. On the shock mounts I would wait untill the axles are under it. Then at ride height it will give you a better idea of where the top mount needs to be. I would just use a U shaped piece with a hole in a small plate. |

Looks like a good start, as a far as shock mounts go, I would look at some of the other recent tube build ups, for example Brandos rigs. I would maybe try some sort of "u" shape shock hoop idea like on 1:1 4x4s with a plate that the top with a hole in it. Mike |

got it all finished up in time for the get together, and I found that there are a few bugs that need to be worked out but what new crawler doesnt have any?? the suspension is a little on the stiff side, but with that said it pretty much exceeded my expectations for it . didnt take any pictures, but a friend was nice enough to get some video in the cold, windy temperatures! heres the link- http://rccrawler.thefordmccord.com/scalechevy_0001.wmv Scoot |

I am having a slight problem with the suspension working. it flexes just fine on the passenger front and driver rear corners, but it dont flex hardly at all on the driver front and passenger rear corners. I'll try to get some pictures up tomorrow of my suspension setup, but it's kinda startin to bug me a little bit.

do all your rod ends move freely? I ovalized acouple on mine and one side would flex real good, then one side wouldnt flex at all. just a thought
