Default FJ40 build by DMG

This will be the build thread for my DMG built FJ40 scaler/TT. After i saw the FJ40's built by kaetwo and RPMJ i knew i wanted to have an FJ40 built. After seeing the scale tuber Jerry built for Team3six i knew he was the man for the job.

Will have 2.2 roklox

rc4wd GRU and killer T case.

rc4wd 110mm shocks.

not sure on wheels yet.

Here is the first bit of progress pictures jerry sent me.

Looks like a killer build! I'm curious about the drivetrain you have planned and would like to do something similar. Which ratio GRU? Gearing? Motor wind?

Thanks in advance

The GRU is a 16:1 gear ratio and the Case is a 1:1 ratio. Not sure on a motor yet.

No doubt it will be nice. I still have to finish my Hilux/SCX10 that Jerry did up for me. Just need to find the time. Looking forward to following this one.

I have a 35 turn in my FJ and the same transfer case transmission combo and the truck has hardly no tq. I would try a 55 turn on 3s.
