Default "ALL THAT I GOT" 4 door f350 truggy now with rebuild ttc #3

basically copied and pasted this off of scale 4x4 i just got started on this site and figured i would share my build

I told her to look at some of the trucks on this site and at four wheeler and petersons and come up with something you like. She found chris smiths f250 and a few old chevy and fords that were all rednecked out but i asked her exactly what she wanted and she said i want that white truck but with bigger tires and can crawl better than your jeep and is faster and stronger... i said ok so basically this will have
f250 tamiya body full interior sectioned front end half doors
velineon brushless for the waterproof
jr ds8711
axial axles and when moneys right some rockwells from rc4wd
a t case and gear reducer
2.2 rock lox or crushers
mip driveshafts

i got started on it last night well i figured my wheel base and set up an axle mount but i did snap a few pics and made one cut on the body so here they are

updates
well i started sectioning the other body it went a lot better than planned because of my first oops and i cut the rear off the original body for the crew cab or extended cab i havent decided yet im leaning towards crew and i got the frame bent up in the front due to the rear will be mostly tube. found a seat i can use as a rear seat and i was going to draw up a few dashes this will be a full interior with 4 seats if its a crew cab i think ill do one of those votin things on crew or extended cab thats about it enjoy the pics

note the frame next to the truck

i put together about how the drivetrain will go and looked at it i need to cut down the motor shaft a lil but you get the idea

got the body about where i want it going for the crew cab look then i noticed the rear end is lil short by about 1/4" or so and decided oh well i like it the way it is i put 1/8" styrene on the inside to hold the truck together and got a good picture of what the dash will kinda look like and got some new crushers in the mail and they look good next to it but heres the pictures enjoy also ...i have to figure out a way to build the truck where the rollcage and interior stay on the chassis and the body comes off cause i want an interior rollcage but heres the progress

Is that the way you are going to run your drivetrain? I see the input shaft going directly to the transfercase or are ya running a trans? I see parts to the axial trans laying there.

im going to run an axial trans as the t case and a velineon motor with a gru as the the transmission what you see there is only a mock up

it is a 1:1 dash from evolution machine their doing a monster truck f350 right now and i liked their dash and i kinda like some of the tube work out back but thanks for the comments

got the frame cut in half and made a mount for the axial t-case and for the motor got my 100mm shocks in so it gave me a good idea how the truck will sit snapped of few pics of the progress the wheelbase is about 13.5 in with the wheels tucked about .25 in behind the cab going to be tight back there but it is a truggy

mocked up the gru and the t case

the both of them installed with the mounts i made

the front is about where the ride height will be and the rear is a lil high but most the rear will be hacked off for the tuber rear

got a lot done today i figured all the links out and got the suspension figured out so i could give it a lil test run and i was happy with the results made my own 3 brackets too cause the plastic ones suck and i got no money to buy new ones

i set the body on and did a few shots to check out the total thing and see if anything needed changin

then i got a knock at the door and something showed up from rpp that i ordered saturday so fast its awesome

so i went for a test run

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S4kjBppB4MQ

and forgot to tighten center driveshaft down its hard to video and drive

i made a battery box

and got started on the interrior

i will hopefully be done by jun 19th and have a comp crawler by then for the farm comp out here in il

started getting back on to building this. I realized the velineon system for this wasnt what i was looking for so i decided on some new things for it

holmes puller 10t
holmes brxl
rc4wd disruptor tranny
3s batt
gcm t case
rc4wd 110mm scale shocks
axial axles
custom hand job chassis
4 door f250 cab
winch

i started to redo the body until the other parts come, and left the old chassis alone for now. while i drove it unfinished i realized the body will get destroyed so i decided to cut the old interior out and started a new one

more pics tomorrow let me know what you think and thank you

got some rc4wd 110mm dual shocks never bout rc4wd shocks before and dont see my self going anywhere else for them now. but i did have to redo the shock mounting locations and doing that made the truck flew about another half an an inch and the truck sits lower now which is better. the ground clearance is about 3.25" and the flex is about 5.25 inches plus i just think it looks sick let me know any suggestions

before the shock fix

after

The Exo-cage is looking good, are you going to wrap it all the way to the front of the chassis?

update

got the holmes hobby 10t cobalt and the esc the other day so i put the truck together again to see just how it does and i was very happy with the performance. It was fast and had plenty of torque did great with climbing. I was able to climb my front steps rather easily. while driving i noticed that the transmission was hitting the steering servo. so i decided to frame mount the steering servo. i then took it all apart again and did some more metal work lemme know wyt

front shock hoops

rear shock mount
t case protection

front servo mounting and drag link still making a pan hard bar very lil bump steer so far going to try and improve on that any suggestions would be very helpful
