Looking good, as for the bead locks. You could have them powder coated the same color as the body or a nice contrasting (check a color wheel at a hardware or paint store). And powder coating will hold up pretty good under use. Keep the pics coming.

I dont remember what the proper name is for the color but I did get it at Checker Auto. Its kind of a rusty orange. Im stripping the ano off the bead lock rings right now and painting the bolts gold. That way it will look like the rings are held on with grade 8 bolts.

She's a roling chassis now! Ive got the axles mounted, links done, and all but one bead lock and tire done. One of the proline moabs has a bead that is to big for any 2.2 rim. I'm waitng for Earls (LHS) to get in a replacment. I stripped off the ano on 4 rings so that I could go back to red if I wanted to, but I am very happy with the polished rings and gold bolts. Now all that I need to do is get drive lines on, and some electonics in this. Then its time to go turn up some snow!

Thanks for the compliments! The cage is made of 1/8 inch solid steel. I feel like it looks alittle more to scale. As for strength, its plenty strong. I can stand on this cage. These trucks dont weight much so they dont need to be super burly tubing.

Question

What kind of paint did you use? Rattle can? Does it hold up?

Its just a rattle can. I messed up on the paint so this time I painted the outside of the body. I'll get it right next time. I used this same color on another build and I still see it around here now and then. It looks like its holding up fine for 1badjeepbruiser. ebay TLT score

Thanks for all the compliments! Today was a great day, I was able to wrap everything up and finish the jeep. The only thing not done is a servo winch behind the bumper. Im going to run the line through the fairlead on the front bumper. Here a few poser shots before I take it out and get dirty.

No interier here. It would look more scale but I want it to crawl well. Now that I have ran my 1st battery through it I found a few little issues that need attention. It handles great, and crawles really well for an 8lb jeep. I guess I forgot to lock my front locked axle, whoops. It side hills a lot better than I thought it would for being narrow. I have a light sway bar an the rear that works wonders! I also had to trim the fenders more for the tires to clear. 2nd battery is charged, need to go play....
