Default DmG's ultra hybrid 4400 IFS KOH Racer

the DmG jumps into the 4400 IFS class !!
been planing this rig for a long time,
& its been vary hard to keep this under cover for so long !!

wanted to build a 4400 class IFS thats over the top from what everyone had done so far.

this the most completed rig Ive built so far !!
a lot of thought, time & re-designing went in to this rig.

hopefully every will enjoy seeing it go together !!

thanks for looking.

Default Death Rattle chassis

OK
first up the chassis !!
its a 40/60 chassis.

didn't think the front end would hold up made from alum.

so went with a 3/16" steel rod in the front,
& 3/16" & 1/4" alum rod for the rear section.

wanted to try to keep this as light as possible,
two peace bolt together chassis !!

the finished chassis,
freshly sand blasted & ready for its paint !

the two peace design.
the front weights more than the whole rear section.
going to be stupid light

the under side !!
no drive line hang ups on this one !!

Default the DEATH RATTLE's chassis Color

wanted to make it a color that would stand out .

primed with HOUSE OF KOLOR adhesion promoter first.
HOK standard Gold under coat with HOK pagan candy Gold with inter-coat clear !!

with the chassis being sand blasted this heavy,
the color should hold on to the chassis vary vary well !!

Dang, that thing is gnarly.

Don't like the gold, but the awesomeness off the tube work makes up for it...

I thought it looked great when I saw it in the raw, but it looks sick in gold.

Very nice Jerry! Chris summed it up pretty good, sick!

Collecting parts for mine as we speak. Got to get some builds out of the way first though. Hell as many as there is being built now, they might have to add a new class.

Default DEATH RATTLE's front end component's

here's the front end component's

slash 4x4 front suspension,
with RPM arms, H/D traxxas steel U joints
STRC alum C's & servo saver, H/D upper links.
Summit un-lockable front diff !!
sway bar & traxxas BIG bore shocks, axial gray springs.

this was what gave the most trouble,
figuring how to mate the slash 4x4 front suspension & the summit diff together

& getting the upper link geometry right !!

had to of-set the diff just a little in the slash 4x4 front end.

when it's all mounted up in the chassis there will be 3 mounting spots to hold the diff.

Nice Jerry. Wonder where you got the inspiration to use Ghetto Ratt gold?

Man, all these IFS rigs are gonna have to have a meet up when they're all done. That'd be awesome.
