Default Budget Chassis/Axles for a 2.2 Scaler?

I have a very abused first generation SCX10. Got some Robinson gears ordered since they have been stripped. I hope I have an extra tranny case laying around because the threads were stripped too on the plastic.

I'm going to keep it as just a truck to play around with and keep it a 1.9 rig.

So that means I'm off to a new build for a 2.2 scaler. I know most of these chassis are custom and I have absolutely no experience with aluminum or brazing or the tools to do so.

Just looking for a kit for a 2.2 scaler if possible. And no Honcho as I already have one and it's dialed in to almost where I want it.

Wheelbase somewhere around 12.5" ideal. Any suggestions would be appreciated! Looking to spend around $300-$400 max. I already have extra 2.4ghz rx's laying around and they are 2 channels so it has to be single speed which I am perfectly fine with.
