Yea, Thats what happens when you build five trucks at the same time. And try to maintain five other crawlers along with four old school R/C's.

The rest of this build will be in the small scale crawler section.

Default Second attempt at building a tuber.

I started this post in the general crawlers section because I did not know what axles I was going to use. I started out thinking of building a buggy with clod axles but I ended up building a pick-up with TLT axles instead. Here is a link to the start of the build.

The first tuber I built came out so bad I only drove it three times before scraping it.
Let me know what you guys think. Any input would be helpful.

Here are the latest pics.

looks good. but it looks like its going to need some reinforcing where the doors would be, also where the truck bed would be and the roof. but im still a newbie and still learning so i would wait until you get the experts advise.

As for the fire hazzard, I do all the brazing in the vice on the red work bench. And I have four fire extinguishers handy just in case.

I like the front suspension

Seriously, nice looking tuber. Might want to lower it a little.

I think all scale tubers sit high. That is one thing I have noticed. Maybe cuz they don't wanna cut up all their pretty bodies? I dunno. Or maybe since the shocks can't stick up through the body they have to be tall?

I think it looks great.. It is a little high for performance rock craweling but agree that a scale rig must sit high for a true scale look.. If you want to have mor fun in the rocks your gonna have to lower it and hack up a body... I am finding out the lower the better.. its trying to find the sweet spot the compramizes equaly to performance and getting hug up thats the trick..

keep up the good work... Looking forward to seeing more.
