| Camo's Mall Crawler 1st scaler build
Well she started off as a 10.00 garage sale buy , I really liked the working tailgate and headlights , the WB is around 10-10.5 but I can work with it . Here is how it looked before the bedliner treatment And here she is after I removed all the decals and masked and shot with duraliner . Im going to be building my own frame but Im torn between 2.2 and 1.9 I like the exaggerated look of the 2.2's being that the wheel wells are really wide they kinda fit . I dont plan on using leafs just links and shocks. Also I could really use some input on if I should keep or scrap the rollbar and lights. The lights dont work but I can put some led's in there pretty easy . Here are some pics . No lights Lights And here is a pic with some 2.2 cougars on axial wheels. I dont think going 1.9 is the way to go. Does anybody know of a smaller, scale looking 2.2 tire? Thats all for today , gonna pick up some material tomorrow and start on a frame. I will keep updating as I go . Running gear will be Stampede magnum trans, Losi 12T waterproof esc with either a 55t lathe or 19t motor , Traxxas tq3 , 1/4 servo winch , Mg995 servo, 2s 2800mah lipo . As I said before feedack on wheel size and rollbar greatly appreciated. Till next time - Bob |

You could try 2.2 flat irons or hammers

I saw those geolanders on ebay . No crawling just a lil mudding and trail riding out in the woods. I think it will be a good way to keep my 6 yr old intrested in filming and photography.

Well I ran into a problem , I got the axles mocked up and I can barely cover 1/3 of the tire on each side. SO I either need a berg offset wheel or a different body .I bought som 1.9 wheels just to try out but I dont think it will help. I was so stoked about this build too . |
