Default Torch's Scale Tuber Build

Well guys I started with a custom chassis built by Mattzilla. I then added some built TLT axles, Mudslingers mounted on JC Tense wheels, RC4WD R2 tranny, and some other goodies. Lots more to come!!!

Hurry up and finish your tuber. Its killing waiting to see how it does in the desert at the wash out. When you gonna get your body panels finshed?

Yep I have finally got the body panels on it. Now just gotta get them painted up. I made the main body in one piece cause I wanted to avoid seems. I also made it so it will fold around the cage so I don't have any zip ties or screws on the body! I also made up a mount for the winch.

I really like the look of these scale tubed out jeeps. Someday I will break down and do one. I really like the RCP Wreckluse. What's the difference in that and the brand you went with.

That RCP wreckluse is a very nice one as well. Its just mainly just a little different design. I just wanted to be a little different, and the Mattzilla chassis are a little more rare.

Well guys I was looking at the tuber and decided whats the point of an all metal body and a lexan hood. So I made this up today. Its a rough template, I need to make a new one. Let me know what you think for now.

Love the metal work. Will look great with some scratches and dents. Might want to lower the center of gravity.

Thanks guys! Yeah I have some new shocks coming, and I am gonna lower it and remove some flex.

I also made me up some seats while I was at it. Made me some metal frames, then covered them in some insulation tape. Now I just gotta decide what color fabric to cover them in when I decide a color combo for the truck.

I modeled them after my Corbeau Seats that I have in my Mustang!

That looks like a nice, very detailed chassis to work off of. I also like the metal work you have done. What did you use to cut and shape the metal (Aluminum?).

Are you going to sipe the Boggers?

Thanks guys I am pretty happy with the way it all turned out. Also the sheet metal is steel, not aluminum. I am a sales manager for a A/C & Heating company. I used to make duct work out of sheet metal so those are the tools I have used. Aviation Snips, Seamers, and Folding Tools.

I might sipe the boggers. I'm not sure if I'm actually gonna use them on this rig yet.

Thx
Jay

Now that you mention it, the seat pic is a dead giveaway that it is thin galvanized metal, like duct work.

Yeah worked out pretty good, but I cant wait to see how the front end off your Bronco body looks on this thing. The one thing I wasn't horribly happy with was the hood. I will post up some pics when it arrives!

Well its been a while since I posted an update for the truck, but have definitely been making some progress on it. Made an interior for the truck, and got the body all painted up.

Still deciding on wheel/tire setup. I have the JConcepts Tense wheels with 2.2 Rok Lox on it now, but also have a set of new RC4WD Rockstars with Slingers mounted. Your opinions would be much appreciated!!!

I also stuck an R2 2 Speed transmission in it, with an Xl-5 esc, and Traxxas 12 turn motor, threw some LED headlights on it, and lowered it a little bit. Let me know what you think.

No its a Mattzilla Tube chassis. Wish I could take credit for that. I have done all of the other metal work though.
