| Class 3 2dr JK mild with a hint of wild
Since I don't have much time to go to comps lately, I wanted to build something fun. Figured since it's not a comp rig and has a long WB I'd add 4ws with a rear panhard setup too. I really wanted a Jeep with a hardtop so Sorry guys no tube work porn to stare at as I son't have the space or tools, and am trying ot put more of that sort of energy in to my 1:1 where "it belongs, not on the dining room table" (the wife lol) Basic build list includes: Proline 2 door comp cut JK body with custom lexan interior and fenderwells. 13.3" WB SCX10 frame Axial trans and axles Steel and 4mm allthread+Jato ends links Axial XR10 shocks double sprung 75% droop courtesy of jonbo ??? knuckles in rear courtesy of War Pig HR knuckles and Chubs in front Titanium lockers Axial CVDs Hitec 7955TG in front, 5955 TG in rear 645MG winch Mamba Max with CCBEC on 3s secondary BEC for rear servo and winch with a freaky 4way sorta connectore between servo, bec, battery and RX courtesy of rbgerrish at my LHS. Nothing hardwired, Thanks Ryan! Proline 2.2 TSLs with Crawler Innovarions 2 stage standard foams. It's nothing crazy extreme like so many builds I've seen recently, but it's light, under 8 pounds, and very capable and stable. I'll have more pics up when I can find my camera's USB cable, but for now... Please excuse the teflon tape on the shocls lol. Last edited by solomon7; 03-22-2011 at 10:31 AM. |

Nice rig Solomon, real clean. BTW, rear steer is legal in class 3 now, and the "c"s you were referring to I think are Integy. Hope to see you at the next scale comp. |

Nice looking jeep! How do you like 4WS? You have a stick radio right?

Thanks Tim! With a WB this long and no Super 300s lol, I LOVE 4ws. Don't have to use it on most stuff but it's nice when a rear tire falls off track and can be easily fixed, or ya slip sideways in to a V notch. Ya can crab walk all 4 tires right back to straddle. Rollover recovery is pretty amazing too. I'm runnin' a DX6 so I have independent control of front and rear. Messed with mixing for the first time and now can flick a switch for 4ws, another for crab. Even in one or the other I have 50% opposite control with the "rear" stick, so no need to unflick for a small adjustment in back, just a wiggle. Ya'd think it'd get confusing but the way I have it, if I inadvertantly flick both switches they cancel eachother out and it's normal 2ws. |
