Default project lucky lux my hilux build

Figured i'd do a build thread on my new hilux build beings I didn't. Do one on my current hilux ttc hilux.going to pretty much stay along the same lines as the first build except for a couple of things.started off by doving cab and building front shock hoops mounted cab a little lower on this one and went alittle higher with boat sides.here's a few pics of my current build.

when doving, did you just heat up the side and bend them inwards?

after making my wedge cuts i put a relief cut on top of fender this keeps top of fender from humping up when heated and brought together.then i section the hood and move the hood lip back in.instead of just hacking it off.i use masking tape to hold evertying together and brush some plastic weld in the seams an d let set up.once set up i fill all gaps with 5 min epoxy i also brush some on the seams underneath to add strenght.anybody can dove with a little patience not really that hard.

My plans on this one are a lot more tubework in back and dovetailed with bolt on bed sidees.it will be running axial trans with all robinson gears vp case, gcm trans fer case, built axial axles with stage3racing lockers vp zero ackermans just all the normal hop ups 8711 hv servo sidewinder esc a claw winch in front and 3racing winch on the rear mip drivelines all the way around.have everything now to find a bad set of 2.2 scale wheels to set it off.

You need to change your avatar now that you're into scaling.

i dont think youre supposed to be wider than your wheelbase its like driving a rectangle.

Play nice over here stevie. And you meant a square they are all rectangles.rectangles are longer then they are wide.now you owe me $12.50 for the schooling.
