Default Yup!!! Another Betty build.

After seeing Trenton's Black Betty build, I had to have one.

Proline power stroke shocks
CAC aluminum 2.2 beadlocks
RC4WD Crazy Krawler tires
Axial aluminum c-hubs, knuckles and rear lock outs
RRP steel output gear.

I think i am going with a Pactra purple for the body.

Looks great! What color for the chassis?

Thanks! Not going to paint the chassis, I like the raw finish look.

Playing around with some light buckets this morning and trying to figure out how I want to position them. They are held in place right now with servo tape until I decide on the final placement of them. Any opinions on this will greatly be appreciated.

Thanks!
John

Hey, looks familiar. I am having a great time building mine up. I look forward to seeing what you do with yours. I have been wanting to run lights on mine but haven’t figured out where to put them yet.

I was thinking the same as Don. Usually Betty's refer to the the B-17 Betty body from the AX-10. That's the body from the original SCX-10 kit...didn't think it had a name.

I could be wrong though.

Either way this is a fantastic looking truck!

The truck pictured just above is a Betty body. The one this build thread is based on is a cf100 body.

Managed to get some work done on it today. After the mock up, it sat on the shelf for a while. I disassembled it and sprayed the chassis with a few coats of Rustoleum hammered finish silver paint.
