I picked this up from Millrtime a few months back. I have been drooling over the nice Super Duty builds on this site for a long time (thanks Justin!), so now it's my turn. This was originally built to be a scale version of the 2003 TTC Super Crawler Ford. It will be very close, just not the same colors. Ecoli originally built the chassis. It is rediculously nice. I feel very lucky to have it. This is the original build thread. Project Light Wallet Here's where I am at. Inner fender wells mocked, 4ws complete, foams custom made, the first coat of paint on the chassis and the body work begun. I've got a ways to go, but here she is so far............. Keep watchin! Thanks Justin! You have set the bar pretty high! Thanks! Quote:
Yup, me too Quote:
I have gotten a few more things done on this beast. RC4WD had these rings on sale seriously cheap, so I could not pass them up. I also got the hubs painted up. The RC4WD 110mm shocks kept falling apart, so I swapped them out for a set of internally sprung XR10 Shocks. Silky smooth! The body work is coming along slowly. I am taking my time so I don't do something stupid and have to build a new one. I know that Andrew had some serious hours into this cab. It's just a hair off square, but not very noticable. I'm just going to forge ahead. I also fabbed a light bracket for the front lights and sprayed the chassis with 4 coats of "Cast Iron" Duplicolor. It is just shiny enough. Also got the esc, trans and inner fenders mounted. On to the pics................... | |||

| Thanks! I was originally going to go with a metallic silver, but it was just too bling. I've gotten a little more done. My lights are wired up with a Heyok controller on the 4th channel, since the C.L.A.W. winch won't work... I cut out a new floor, some seat bracket / battery mounts and tried my hand at a seat. Once I foam and harness it up, I think it will look pretty good. Thanks for looking!! |

| Thanks! Thank you sir! Thanks bud! and keep dreaming....... I made some rainy Saturday progress.....Started a fuel cell to cover the rear steer servo, got a couple coats of paint on the body, began a couple Optimas and finished the seats. Thanks for looking! I almost forgot. My xr10 shocks hold oil about as well as a wet paper towel holds a bowling ball, so I switched back to the RC4WDs with some new internal springs. Let's hope they perform well.......... Last edited by Team Tactical Bacon; 12-03-2011 at 09:28 PM. |

Damn dude, this thing looks sick. You need to get this done asap so i can steal the remote. I believe this inspires me to get some stainless and fire up the torches.
