Default In progress... Baby blue FJ40 Mudder/Crawler

Well everything is pretty much mocked up and slapped together. I snapped a quick pic. Teardown and rebuild will be documented here as everything gets painted and tweaked. Final speed im hoping for is around 14-16mph (I hope), but still lots of torque, a two speed may be needed but im not sure on that yet.

that puppy is purdy cool. when it s articulating doesn't the servo hit han stop motion? or are you using it as a limiter? What kind of motor are you using to get the torque and speed?

No it doesnt hit, its running quite a bit of droop as it sits. Probably a mag mayhem.

Some not so teaser pics The chassis and motor mount is complete, time to tear it down and paint it all black. Then im thinking full fenderwells and some major protection against water and mud.

Also has anybody seen that bumper by RPM? I saw that thing and knew it would look cool on this truck, I didnt even know they made such a scale looking bumper, minus the big *** "RPM" but still I think it looks sweet.
