Not done yet but almost there, I'm waiting on a motor that should come today, then I'll finish up the cage and bumper and some body work. Specs. all the usual 12wb 3.25 gc stealth trans stock chassie anyways here are the pictures: Next I have to figure out how to bolt the cage to the frame, while still allowing the body to be removed. If you have any comments or suggestions post up I'ld be glad to here. Matt |

Looks cool! are you going to cage the back or it? I think that would looks sweet with a roof rack or something on top Mike |

I'm not sure about a cage in the back, I'm just going to do the cab for now. The wb on that body is really pushing it so a full cage and a tire mounted on the back might even it out more. I had a rack on my rover for about 4 years and I took it off about a year ago and love it, so I don't think I'm going to put one on this. Thanks, Matt |

I like it. Is that a Kamtec body, and do they ship to the US? As far as getting the cage off, make it a two-piece affair. Insert a solid rod in the tube at the joint with a small hole for a body pin to slide into. Use the small Tamiya body pins and they won't be so noticeable. |

Yes it is a Kamtec, they do ship to the US, but the box it came in was a little bigger than the model and had no packing material, If you can see there is a dent just in front of the rear tire, that is a little gift from the royal postal service. As for the cage that is what I had thought of doing, only using threaded rod brazed into the ends under the body and bolting it. That way it will take any play out since it's tight aginst the body. Also I think I'm going to do a full cage now that mike put the bug in my ear. In the pics above i had raised the body a little so the tires would not rub the tops of the wheel arches while flexing, but they still do. I might lower it again because it looks better and just let the tires rub. Matt |

Nice work there Matt. I had considered a similar approach to a frame as you for my current Land Rover build, and was wanting to try and make it 6 point mounted by adding some outriggers to the frame I have. I'm in need of getting some brazing gear first though. Keep the pics coming |
