Hey all; Here is what I am working on. I started with a Bruiser chassis but the Hilux chassis ended up working better. Video 1 http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v2...ldup1wmv-1.flv Video 2 http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v2...uildup2wmv.flv |

THose wires/connectors are good to 10 amps (according to the manufacturer). In testing, I have pulled 15 through them before things started to warm up. Current demands for a crawler are far less than say a touring car or stadium truck. I used a Deans amp reader to see how I was doing. I was pulling less than an amp (0.6) cruising on the road with a 55t, 2 for easy crawling and the only time it would spike is if the wheels would stall. I used to fly electric aircraft for about 20 years (started with Nitro until electrics came around) with the last 5 years being stricktly Lipo and Brushless. Those wires and connectors should hold up just fine. Just check your amp draw (its a slow truck so hook it up and set it on the bed and walk behind it to see its readings) doing the things you plan on using the truck for and see where you are. I bet you will be surprised at the low amps that some crawlers actually pull. |

hey there Thanks for the input, I will let you know when it catches on fire. But I really think the wires are fine. The Body is a beater, I am not sure if I want to put a nicer one on it and slam it into rocks. Maybe I should have posted this in the TLT forum. Sorry if this is the wrong spot. Rene |
