Default 2.2 1:8 scale Ford Raptor

I made myself a custom RC out of a New Bright "1/6 scale" Ford F-150 Raptor. I wouldn't really call it a crawler, I guess more of a quick trail rig. I put a pretty straight forward home made flat chassis under it using aluminum angle and some aluminum sheet. Threw some Axial SCX10 axles under it with a Slash/Stampede transmission with locked diff for drive. Powering it with a Hobby King 100 amp ESC with their 6.5T (5200kv) brushless motor. Controlling it with my Spektrum moduled M8.

Here's some pics!

The color looks copper in these pics but it is actually red. Maybe it's the Fluorescent lighting in my Hobby room.

did you make the frame weak so it breaks like the 1:1's?

Wheels and tires are from Short Course land. Wheels are from Kyosho, Some chromies with a red sharpie marker used to color the center. Matches the color of the truck pretty well and give it that little extra custom wheel look. I found the tires at my local LHS, they are made by Dynamite in their Speedtreads line called "breakaway".

Yeah that is a pretty good looking rig but I myself would run some larger tires on it.

I thought about it, but I wanted a more scale "from the factory" look that kept the treads inside the lip of the wheelwell.

I'll try to get some action shots and a short video when my son is home Wednesday. Kinda hard to take pics/vids while driving!

That's a cool looking rig, do you know if they make a Ram Runner version, and how much was this truck? Lastly could this cab look half way decent on a SCX10 chassis or is it way to big, thanks.
