| 1stockliberty's 4dr JK build*FINISHED*By ScaleReady Chassis Fab
Brett(1stockliberty) contacted me about making a chassis for him using Proline's 4dr JK body and his Wraith as the donor vehicle. He promptly sent it to me to undergo the transformation. Sadly, this is how it arrived: Gotta love USPS Luckily all the damage that was sustained, is on parts of the body that are going to be removed. The donor: Last edited by ScaleReady; 05-10-2012 at 04:29 PM. |

Between doing tattoos, two kids with Strep throat, and finishing prior projects........I finally made some headway on this I built the main "frame rails" of the chassis, built a skid plate, lower link mounts, upper link mounts(rear), and built the links. |

Looks like the USPS driver looked at the fragile sticker as a challenge |

We now have boatsides. I went ahead and broke the top of the boatsides up to protect the side of the body as well. Wraith interior fits nicely in there |

As of now, I still plan on doing a CMS and 3-link front. I think it is a must on this. I think you will be happy with how low this thing is going to ride. | |

I got two key pieces on. They make look like just a couple more tubes, but they are important in the next few steps Not really a progress thing, but you can see where I outlined the trans mount in the last picture. That is going to be it's home as soon as I get to that point. The body slides right down in between the tube and the slider. Nice and snug Oh, I didn't put the interior in in these pictures, but it sits perfectly on the tubes and will bolt down to tabs that I am going to be adding on tomorrow. I figure I should get the interior mocked in before I make it to where I can't any more For those who may notice. The body is only "rough cut" for the build purpose. It will get the final trimming towards the end. Last edited by ScaleReady; 04-28-2012 at 11:16 PM. |

I got a start on the cage, and the front suspension is all done. The body needs final trimming still..... Working on designing the rear shock hoops right now. |

| Re: 1stockliberty's 4dr JK build---By ScaleReady Chassis Fab Thanks I have a feeling that you will really like the next update coming soon Thank you! I dig that look myself. I was going to have more shock showing out of the hood, but it just worked out this way. I think it looks just right. Pretty realistic for shocks that poke through. |
