Great build. You make building a really nice detailed rig look easy. How much time you have in this build?

Thanks. I have about 2-1/2 months of steady work into this. I did some other projects in between.

What did you do for the 2nd axle? Been eyeing up the 6x6'x. I want to start gathering parts to build us one.

very well done man. nice work on the styrene.

what thickness sheet are you using onthe body work? have you tumbled this thing yet, or is mostly a shelf queen. i find myself building things with all sorts of scale accessories, and run them to hard i break them all off.

Thanks. Yeah, must be nice to have the time and money to do something like that. I'll never experience it. That's why I build models.

I modified an Axial axle. It's as easy as putting another pinion gear and output shaft on it.

Thanks! And I'm about 3 weeks late to the party because of it.

Thank you. I mainly used .060 and .080 styrene. I have not tumbled it and I don't plan to. I feel there is a difference between a shelf queen and taking care of a vehicle. I run all of my trucks so they aren't shelf queens, but I like to keep them rubber side down and free of damage.

Taking the turquoise monster to the beach tomorrow morning. Video? You bet!

That's the way scale should be. Build it nice and sharp and drive it like a one to one. If you want a basher...drive a honcho. It's challenging, but much more rewarding.

Some people don't get it, but you do. If we're building vehicles to look like real ones we should drive them the same way. I spend months building a truck, why would I want to destroy my hard work to impress people on the internet? As mild as I drive my trucks it's still out of scale. These toys are far more capable and stronger than their full size counterparts. Maybe I take scale too seriously.

Love the vid with audio swap. As it drives away the exhaust fades and the air brake or air shifter activator on the down hill. Good job Spielberg.
