Well the R35 BFG's came in today! They won't be going on this rig as I had hoped though. They are shorter than the Claws on the rig now, and I can't afford to give up the GC.

Camparison pic, Claw, BFG, and TSL all on 1" slws.

Hi guys,

Rowdy I love the Reaper so much I am building a similar truck. I have seriously studied the build threads on the truck and noticed something.

If I am not mistaken the slash front diff is geared at 37/13 and krawl in his build thread has a picture of a 36/14 for the rear.

front = 2.846
rear = 2.571 that is a .275 overdrive on the rear axle a 10.6% difference which may have contributed to krawls broken output and your destroyed bearing.

I am running axials hd 38/13

front = 2.846
rear = 2.923 for a .08 underdrive on the rear a 2.7% difference which is a much closer match, easier on the rear end and the rest of the drive train. Plus for crawling I think a .08 overdrive on the front would be helpful.

Finally unpacked the Reaper and bolted the tars back on from nats.

It was a blast to drive in the G6!

Going to take it out and shake the cobwebs out tomorrow.
