| Zero's Class 3...
So after having built several class 3 rigs; a Wraith, a EB tuber, a fast back Wraith, and a Ultra4 IFS I've decided to build a chassis from scratch... I like my fast back Wraith but I'm tired of breaking the plastic tube frame! Here is the gear that is going on it.
He's the look I'm sorta going for... For ease of reference, here are the modded FlySky version 0.6.1 firmware recipes I am using for 4WS, 2-speed and winch.

And here is the start of my chassis. Solid 3/16 steel rod that is brazed together. I'm planning to use the 3/16 rod for most of the base, but to switch to some 3/16 brake tube for some of the upper pieces to help keep the CoG lower. Oh yeah, and its all being built in my kitchen. |

Awesome parts list man. Are you going to run the beefy top shaft on that tranny? I'm looking forward to watching the progression.

More progress... Waiting on an interior to arrive since I couldn't find the spare I thought I had. Want to make sure that the interior fits with a few layout items before proceeding. |

So I completely pulled apart and rebuilt the cockpit area twice before I was finally happy with it. It fits the interior, my little driver guy and should be able to get a passenger in there too. |

It's starting to look more like an r/c vehicle. Got the skid plate all mounted. I was really scared about that, since if I screwed up the mounting holes I'd have a lot of work to do to fix it. But it all came out ok. The initial position for the front-shock mounts didn't quite work, so I pulled them off and re-positioned them. Will have to get some shots a bit later on. |

Front end is mostly done. Need to figure out how to attach the hood and run some headlight mounts. But otherwise, mostly need to focus on the rear and then do the lightbar. The front end transitions nice and smooth with full suspension travel; that was something I was never able to get with the Wraith and CMS. |

I should mention that the grill guard and winch mount is a chopped up MG200 wraith grill guard. |

Getting close... front and rear completed. Rear panhard bar in, but still need to build the panhard itself. Shelf for electronics in rear completed. Even the tire mount done. Just need to finish off the front lightbar, rear light mounts and mounting for the radiator. Oh and tubes for side panels in the cockpit area. Closeup of the rear, although not the best photo. May need to try and get some better photos. |

Right now, it weighs in at 2lbs. Thing I am going to try and do a bit of lightening on the plates, help lose a few ounces maybe.

Put in an order for three new servos for the vehicle... Savox SV 1270TG Digital Monster Torque Titanium Gear Servo High Voltage Those are going front and rear. Front will, along with the winch, be off one Castle 10amp BEC and the rear and probably the lights will be off its own Castle 10amp BEC. Both will be running the 7.4V fed by 3S 40C bats. Savox SH 0255MG Digital Metal Gear Micro Servo That little guy will be powering the AX2 2-speed. It and the receiver will run off the BEC @ 6V from the ESC which is going to be a water-proofed Castle Mamba Max Pro. Tekin Pro4 4400 is the motor of choice. |

Chassis should be mostly done now. Just have to braze on attachment points for the hood, the side panels, and the top. Oh and for the radiator too. The chassis is setup for 4ws with cms and panhard mounts both front and rear, servo winch, rear tire mount, and uses the Wraith interior and skid pad. It will have AR60 axles; I might run the extended AX10 axles I have, but not sure that I have parts for 4WS with them. |
