Default Hi Lift Basher new pics added 9-15-08

I built this stock with a 55t lath motor at first and drove it for two packs than got bored. I ditched the servo saver and mounted up some real tires now this thing goes more places than it should. Having this truck is a blast and running my rock course is fun again you have to pick your line unlike my comp rigs that go just about anywhere you point it. Lets not forget the sound of a hard body slamming against rocks this is the closest thing to wheeling my full size truck and at such a bargian price. The mods are going to start coming as soon as I get bored with wheeling it the way it is but it will get bumpers soon than a tummy tuck than it should be good. I am still trying to find some shocks I like but if all else fails turned down tlt shocks are plan B.Here are some pics the first is the truck with some 2.2's and real tires second and third are the on going body mods and the last two are Racerx's M.S.D. rig with a broken link (the carange section lived up to it's name).

That not the first time I have heard that this week. Not a bad idea no matter how many times I hear it.

We talked about a scale comp/ GTG at kris' house the whole time we were beatin our trucks that day. It has some very tough obsticals and we could add some mud and logs for a mini frame twister . I just gotta get some stuff done to my BB-51, springs are way to soft, drive shaft popped out, lower link snapped you know little things!

How much you want for the stock Hi-Lift wheels and tires? Nice to see someone not babying their Hi-Lift.

Well it was snow/raining the other day so I went after the hi lift with no mercy. First I got rid of the jeep shackel up front and move the steering to the front side of the axel also. Than I made a mount to hang the motor off the front and than raised the transmission and moved it foward. The body was next I removed 1 3/8" from the bed and moved it foward, than I moved the cab back and trimed the bed to help clearances. I ran it some today and it seems to work well it has 3" of belly clearance witch help a ton but the sping are stiff right now so there is still some work to do.

I still have all my comp rigs and besides that is what make it fun having to pick your line like no other.

The top motor is gone it was just there for mock up and the stock mount was cut off to clear the body since the trans was moved up 11/16" and foward 1/4" and the cab moved back it had to go.

Did you shorten the frame? Or just move the cab back?

Reminds me of a real superduty on 49s :-D
