Default Accepted wheelbase?

Hi guys, I am looking into building a ladder chassis for my AX10 to turn it into a scaler, but I have no idea what dimensions I am looking for overall. What wheelbase do most of you run on your 2.2's to fit uncut 1/10 bodies? I will most likely be doing a cab only build so it doesn't matter too much, but I would hate to make it look like a limo if it can be avoided

The body sets the wheelbase. Measure the wheel openings on the body you have and make it the same or close.

This is my ax10 scaler. wheel base is around 14". I made new side plates that are 2 1/4" longer then stock. If your only going to have a cab on it ide say around 12" to 13" wheel base. But it really does make a difference depending on the body you plan on using. This is considered an 8th scale body. not all 10th scale bodies are the same. as far as scale wise. ive seen ones that say they are 10th but look more like 12th.

Thank you both for the responses. If I were to run a forward cab only what would be the optimal wheelbase for performance? Maybe I'll go for the bobbed look and keep it short.

Kinda depends on what your common terrain is. I really like about 13.5-14 with taller 2.2s
