Default f350 savage based

hi,

i built my f350 based on my savage crawler. the axles are customized savage axles. i replaced the a-arms und c-hubs with a welded steeltube.
for more center clearance i angled them. maybe i change this oneday cause i want to narrow them.
the centertransmission is stock savage locked in 2nd gear. i use 3 reductions and a speed600 motor. the frame is custom made out of 20x20mm steel sqaretube cuted in two pieces. i use moabxl on narrowed mambo40 wheels
shocks are stocksavage, 4 per axle.

sry for the bad pics, but if you want to i can make better ones. and aswell some of the details.

greez from austria

i broke a cvd yesterday, it was one of those crappy hotbodies cvds.
but this thing is really heavy i guess around 6-7kg but i haven´t weight it yet.
i tried to make some pix with my girlfriends canon. i can´t handle the camera as good as she does but i hope u can see the important things:-P

i´m going to paint the frame alter welding the nerf bars to it.
i hope i find time to do this stuff in the upcoming week.

i hope i have time next week to make some action shots.

btw the body has a nice detailed interiour with a nos bottle and some amp+woofers lol

i fabed the sidebars/steps today after work
and for the scale apperence two pix of the interiour. it even has a sunglas storage box or whatever the corrct english vocabulary would be

another pic from the front. imo the axles are a little bit to wide for a real scaler. maybe rims with less offset would do the trick. which 40series could i use?

please let me know what u think. its my first scaler and i donīt have a lot of experience. and please ignore my bad english :-P lol

greetings from rainy austria

i bought the body at toys`r`us in austria for 80euro.
here is the link http://www.toysrus.at/index.php?mapi...6adcd7108b54e3
first i wanted to install a fg monster body for which i would have paid the same. this one is really detailed.
i donīt know how long it took me but it wasnīt that bad. approx 30 hours.
i tried some different things had to change and so on.

i have no one to compare with but iīm really impressed of the driving performance. i īll try to make some pix when i drive it the next time. maybe i can make a vid aswell

I can't believe that's a Savage. Looks good but I think that center skid might be a little overkill.

a few updates... i narrowed the axles about 6cm per side.
fabed a frontbumper. installed a new 1:4 scale servo on the frame instead of on the axle(smoked my ds1015 last week). iīm not sure if i should z-link it or not angle is not that bad so maybe a direct link will work without too much bumpsteer.
and i painted the frame and the axles.

and i weighed it today .... 8kg without batt esc and receiver...

i also want to dove tail the bed and but a rollcage on it...

Best Use of a Savage I have ever seen. Great job man. You should be proud...Now give it to me. If you left is as a Nitro you could of made your own small scale dual Pipes......

That thing is awesome, but DO NOT DOVETAIL THAT BODY! Just put an exocage on it then resist the urge to keep on modifying it. Congratulations on your English, by the way.

Thumbs up

Same here, exo it. Hmmm, maybe I need to drag out that ol Savage from under the bench. Looks 100% better since you narrowed it. Great work. I love it.
