I only have 1 complaint/critisism so far with your build If you're going for authenticity, raise the seats up a bit, otherwise if you're putting a driver fig in, he's gonna be looking like a little old lady trying to see over the wheel :P

If this works... this is about where the top of the bolsters should be at least, maybe even just a little higher..

Of that's your only compliant I can live with that lol. I've been thinking about putting figures in there but I don't have any to build off of. It would be really simple to put a couple spacers under the seat to raise it. It'd be much more of a pain to cut the mounts out and lower them. So I kept them a little lower. Right now the seat backs come about half way up the window of the body. A little higher would be ideal for empty seats.

What height of figures do you guys use? And where do you get them? I was going to go to Walmart and see if I could find something I like. The only real requirement right now is I need a hot chick in the passenger seat

Most guys around here use WWE figs. Any figure that's about 6-7" in height(haven't actually measured one yet) should work, since that should roughly work out to a 6ft dude at 1:10. I was basing my observation on the seat itself, since the top bolsters on the sides are pretty much shoulder level on a real race bucket. You could probably just google images of race cars and get an idea of where the seat is in orientation of the wheel, if you wanted to adjust it. I also can't really give TOO many complaints since I'm unable to build one of these myself currently due to lack of space.

Those seats are waaaay high back. But what are you going to do unless you make your own? A lot of stuff used to detail your build doesn't scale out right to those in the know, just like the seats. First thing I noticed was the hole for the harnesses is too high for a proper and safe installation in the real world. Doubt it would pass tech on that point. He can always set them in booster seats and the problem is solved. Whats the law anyhow, 5 feet tall and 60 lbs? Action figs are embryos! :^)) Speaking of tech WC, I didn't notice the little tag on the chassis making you SCORE legal. Pre runner only then, right?

TTB is money! Always wanted to build a setup like this. You got a good thing going here.

I may have missed it, but where did you get the body from? I am building a prerunner as well and in the market for an old Ford truck body.

Progress!! It's back on the bench! Got the body mounts and some supports in place but ran outta gas for the welder. Good news is the chassis is almost complete.
