Default Bruder MAN build up

Well I just bought this on ebay :-P

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...4595&rd=1&rd=1

Im planning on doing a build up thread on this now. I have LEDs for it. Not sure what to do for a chassis yet. I just sold my scale chassis. It will use a pede tranny, with tlt axles and most likley moabs. I havnt seen one of these in person so I hope its big enough. The dimensions are L=17.7 W=6.9 H=8.7 inches. I might use the bed or i might just make it a flat bed w/ scale acessories.

Pics will be up as I go along

I saw one on ebay with maobs and it wasnt too bad. Depending on the scale I might go with Highlift tires and hummer wheels.

As for chassis, i still have my high lift chassis, tlt shocks, and a pede tranny. So i have that covered too!

I kinda want a scale look. Ill probably end up with 1.9s but if they dont perform ill go to the 2.2

I think some brass work will be inorder too!

Moderator: Can you please move this to the scale thread...it fits better there now that i think about it. Thanks!

for tires i'd stick with 2.2s. i just finised my MAN trial rig and 1.9s had the cab bashing into every rock it could find. the 2.2s give the cab just alittle more clearance. plus i think the 1.9s are just a little small for the bruder cab.

The one you bought from K2 is much more of the 1/10th scale that you want and has more detail too.

Yeah, Ill probably keep the MAN cab for another project down the line. The Uni looks waaaay better. Ive always liked the few ive seen on here. Now i just need highlift tires and hummer or stock car wheels.

Great idea Except I dont have an XC and im poor Im selling stuff I have around just to get tires and other parts. Now I gotta get a high lift jack, shovel, fire extinguiser, spare tire/rim, make a winch, and some other stuff. Once I get the body i think ill add front bumper w/ fairlead(got one from Gula) for the winch....should be a pretty good build. Im stoked!

Ill probably start getting the chassis together and designing the front bumper(although I cant build it until i am able to mock it up to the body)

It's funny, I just got back from Hobby Town USA and picked up a sweat Bruder Fire Truck (MAN). I also picked up a Highlift 350 that I'll mount it on. Just like your project (I swear I didn't know you where doing one LOL)

It will be our official ReignRC Sponcer/Advertising truck (I still need to tell Pinch that I'm doing that) HEHEHEHE It will then turn into a 6x6 in the near future (a possible future chassis).

I can't wait to see what you come up with, and I hope you enjoy your new Unimog body set. I'm still trying to pickup my dream Mog in Germany.....If I can just get them to respond to my emails :-(

Keep us posted!

Thanks man...i have a few ideas up my sleave...if it all works out it should be a sick build. I think i will detail the interior also if it comes out of the body.

Ive always liked the mogs...ive seen yours and unimoger's too and they made me want to build one for such a long time.
