| "New Style, Old School-80's Hi-Lux" build..... I know this might not be right up everybody’s alley, but I’ve built a 2.2 Crawler, 2.2 tuber crawler, a “SUPER” w/ clod axles, and CXT Tow rig w/ trailer in progress. SO, I thought I would give a “Scaler” a try!!! I always liked (had a few) early solid axle Yotas w/ a Step Side and big meats. So I’m starting w/ brand new TLT-1 Axles, I built Custom Alum. frame rails and all mounts and hangers, along w/ some Custom Stainless Steel Leaf Springs, High-lift shocks…..Using All-T’s mounted on some Billet Alum. Bead-Loc rims I machined up. Going to use a Bruiser cab w/ a rear cab filler pc. And a Hi-Lux bed I got from Ben aka-Unimoger. Gonna hang a Stealth tranny using one of my Stainless Locked Spools w/ out-put shafts for some steel drive yokes. .....more to come as the build proceeds...... |

Personally I think All-Ts would be too large, but that's just me.

Hey Kevin, I was just looking through this again and I noticed a few things...Did you make the wheels with a different offset this time? They look deeper, which looks great and I am sure the offest will be good enough to not have to run wideners. 2ndly do you need headlights and stuff for you grill? If you do... scalehobbies.com makes the headlight buckets http://rcgrabbag.com/store/index.htm They have real nice repro lenses- head lights and the signals and Bruiser tail lights ( I know your using the hilux bed though) and Jsourbeck on ebay who makes the repro grill makes the turn signal buckets If you need a hilux interior, I have a brand new one, unpainted and a bruiser steering wheel. Ill sell it to you if you need it. I really need a Bruiser one with the corners ears to attach to the cab itself. -MIke |

[quote=1BadJeepBruiser]Did you make the wheels with a different offset this time? They look deeper, which looks great and I am sure the offest will be good enough to not have to run wideners. Thanks for the info Mike, Actually these rims are Identical to the ones I made for my 2.2 Tuber, "0" backspacing, hence no need for widners 2ndly do you need headlights and stuff for you grill? If you do... At the moment, I don't have any Lights/buckets of any kind, not really sure which way I might go here If I build it as a trail beater, "NO" lights needed..... If you need a hilux interior, I have a brand new one, unpainted and a bruiser steering wheel. Ill sell it to you if you need it. I really need a Bruiser one with the corners ears to attach to the cab itself. I'll keep that in mine on the interior, Haven't really given it much thought again thanks for the input... |

| Found some time to assemble some of the components collected so far Actually "Will G." I just Caded the chassis rails up from scratch. I don't own any 3-speeds to compare this build too :-( |
