Talking G Wagen is getting rebuilt/overhauled!!

G Wagen is getting overhauled:
(original build here: G-Wagen Scale Buildup *Finally*!!)

RC4WD PORTALS (ORDERED)
POWDERCOAT FRAME AND CROSSMEMBERS
2.2 WHEELS
MINI MOABS (1/8TH SCALE BUGGY VERSION SECTIONED)
PAINT BODY:
-OLIVE DRAB
-BLACK GRILL
-BLACK BUMPERS
-BLACK SPARE
-FILL FRONT BLINKERS
-SAND BODY AND CLEAN LINES/SCRATCHES
NEW BATTERY LOCATION FOR LOWEST POSSIBLE COG
LOWER BODY ONCE PORTALS ARE ON (LOWER COG)
NEW SKID PLATE DESIGN (POWDERCOATED)
REVISE SUSPENSION FOR PORTALS:
-MOVE STEERING SERVO
-NEW LINKS
-FRONT LEAF SPRUNG UNDER AXLE
-REAR REVISED 4 LINK
-PAINT SHOCKS (ADD STICKERS/RESIVOURS)
WHEEL WELLS (TLT TIRES)
REBUILD WINCH/ADD REAR WINCH (CHINO SWITCH)
ROCK SLIDERS OR SKID SETUP EXTENDING TO BODY
ROOF RACK FROM DOUBLE J WITH JUGGY LIGHT RACK MOUNT
-ADD TOOLS
-LED'S
ADD BETTER LEDS TO FRONT HEADLIGHTS.

Im going for overall better performance, i think the axle clearance and traction from the moabs will be the biggest difference.
Although with the portals installed i will be able to lower the chassis and body and keep the same clearance here as well.

With the new paint, and roof rack and wheel wells it will hopefully have a more scale appearance. Stay tuned

The new moabs, and its current appearance below...

Portals (will get painted black once I recieve them)

Are you gona be running the RC4WD beadlocks with the portals. It says they are designed for them. Just seeing if they really are or its a way to get them more rims sales. Either way you are just gona be a sweet rig, into an even sweeter rig.

Are you going to paint the portals or powder coat them?

Im hoping I can squeze a 2.2 with no offset on there to keep it narrow, hopefully I dont have to used rc4wd beadlocks, they are all 12mm hexs so we shall see.

One of those for sure, probably just paint them though, powdercoating small parts that have tight fitment can be a pain.

The body is pretty wide, you could probably run HL axles with 1.9's and still have the tires fit inside the fenders under artic.

Those are one of my choices! I just need to find some good 1.9's. I also have had a CC-01 under it but my friend wouldn't let me have it:-( Solid axles are better anyways!

Sweet, can't wait to see the rest of the build. Although the claw dawgs personally looked good with the body. O well, let's see how the new tires look and work

Frame is cleaned and ready for powdercoating, along with the skid.

Tires are done too
