Here's what i've been working on for a while. i finally got my star to post directly to the site. i am recreating my friends scout, he just got his license and i am building this how i think he should build his! i am making the body out of 1/4" balsa. i cut the sides out, then sanded them to shape, and glued the floor and hood in between. i am coating it with fiberglass resin to make it smooth and waterproof, and also keep it from denting. i chose the balsa cuz it's strong and extremely light and easy to work with. body is almost ready for paint, still have some work to do on the chassis. tlt kit is on the way for axles, shocks, etc. whatcha think so far?

thanks for the comments guys. i have some scale accessories in the works too. this is what i have so far. of course, you gotta have food on the trail, and tools to fix the truck. i used some vinyl to upholster the seats. i also have a soft top in the works out of the same material. more to come

Too be honest I didn't think the balsa body would come out as good like MG's Scout body ,but you proved me wrong. It is a very ingenious idea |
