yup. We were all excited for an early start until we got hit with all this snow. Indoor racing has been a struggle too.

So, Who's ready for summer? I'm not, but I'm excited! Just so you know, I WILL ACTUALLY BE PARTICIPATING in crawling this summer. Still building my scaler, starting on a super, and rebuilding my 2.2.

All my junk is ready to go but my scaler could use a tune-up. Debating on whether to throw some 1.9 Rock Crushers on it or leave it as a 2.2 with Geos.

I find it funny that Alaska gets its own thread... After all, it's only you and I.

Glad to hear it. There's is a growing population of crawlers around here. We've been going out to McHugh Creek fairly regularly. Check out the forums at http://www.aroararacing.org for updates on when we go. The plan is to be out there March 30th around noon.

KB, You took the words right out of my mouth, "Holy Crap" and Alaska forum, and as for why does Alaska get its own page, well it was represented at the 2007 Nats in Moab, just wished that I'd done better, oh well. I will probably make the trip to the 2008 Nats with my 2.2 and super this year, if anyone else wants to go let me know, I'll be down here in Juneau Crawling by myself... |

Wasn't the Nats your first comp ever? I'm gonna see about going to the 2008, depending on where I may end up geographically here in the future...

Yes it was, but it was a great learning experience, and the truck ran great.

I did a search through the membership directory and found 70 people from Alaska. Only 1 of which had their location listed as Kodiak, but that doesn't necessarily mean there isn't anyone else from Kodiak. This might be a longshot too, but check www.alaska4x4network.com. I know there's a Kodiak 4x4 club and members used to post on there regularly. They also have an R/C specific forum, so you may get some hits there. |
