Our club was pondering this one as well. I was goin to put out a feeler thread regarding attendance to see if we could afford it again this year. I also thought the three clubs might want to get together and do a joint comp, at a new location, that way we can split up costs, time, man power, etc. I would really like to see this happen again, whether we host it or someone else does, we just can't afford to lose money on it like last year. Its just not in the budget for us as a club. So what do you guys and gals think? |

I think that an event like a state shootout takes months to plan and prepare for. It takes time to find good sponsors, location, and people to make it happen. If this hasnt begun yet then maybe its not in the cards for now. NARCCA plans on doing another Summer Shootout in the Prescott area this early summer again and we will start planning it 3 to 4 months ahead of time. Sponsors are a high priority in my opinion. I agree, it was the major portion of the work done by us last year. I think it would be just as good to possibly arrange a more impromtu comp/GTG. Just as fun, and possibly more laid back without the stress of competion so to speak. Plus, always a good way to get away for a weekend, lol
