Not sure if I'll make it this weekend or not. My daughter is in the hospital right now with a nasty croup cough and is having a rough time breathing. But she was doing better when I left tonight, so hopefully she will be out tomorrow. Kim is staying with her while I take care of Mason, who had croup last weekend.
Oh man that's rough, hope the kiddos are feeling better soon!

She is on her way home. So I think we are on the downhill side of it.

Just read Kevin. Glad she is going home. I hope we don't have to deal with the Croup but its always a possibility. Hope all is well at your household.

She is still pretty wheezy but being home is much better for her. She can get up and move around and no strangers are poking an prodding her, all around better to keep her breathing easy.

I will have score sheets, clip boards and three timers on hand so anyone willing to assist with judging would be greatly appreciated.

One change I would like to make and I figure now is a good time to do it is regarding winch and assist penalties.
I think it would be fair to those people equipped with a winch to have some advantage over those being assisted by either a judge or other vehicle.
What I would like to do is as follows.

Winch Penalty: +3
Assist Penalty: +5

Format for the comp will stay the same as the practice comp with NO point outs and DNF = +80 points.

If there are any questions please pm or email me.

-Brian

Also as Marc/Crawler-Dad stated, please bring your season comp dues. Comps are FREE.
Did we ever come up with a scale class dollar amount for dues. I know we talked about pitching in to help out but not sure if there was an exact figure.

As long as tonight goes okay I will be able to make the inaugural ASTR comp.

Marc's gate 5 was the straw that broke the Ford's back. Well, trying to straighten the cage enough to get the body off was enough to break a joint on one of the tube fenders. She's still gonna run though, if it proves problematic I'll just weld it later. Better get busy on the Yota.

I'm scraping to get one rig together. Murphys law states, " what can go wrong, will go wrong" As with my rigs this week.

Thanks guys for setting up, it was a great course. I'm guessing you were going for extremely hard for the first run and I'm sure my high score will reflect it.

All I can say is those 2.2s course were ez mode. I mean I walked them with no problems..LOL. Now if I could just get my rig to do the same then i'll be doing ok. Thanks everyone who helped set up and run this. Good turn out as well

My question is this, why is your rig ALWAYS in pieces? Always! Leave it alone and DRIVE the darned thing...
