scale crawler / KOH type event in Yuma, Oct 4

Fast Eddies RC hobbies will be hosting our first recon / KOH style event on Oct 4. We will be utilizing a homemade rock crawling area, some natural obstacles and numerous man made ones. I am looking at about 50 gates and two laps. Drivers meeting at 1800hrs on Oct 4. $10 entry fee includes refreshments (no you have to bring those kind of refreshments, but they are permitted). Come out and enjoy the great Yuma weather.

We also have an indoor onroad carpet track for your VTA, touring and pan cars, so bring them too.

If anyone comes down for this and wants to run comp crawlers, I can show them Crackhead Heights, the roughest toughest rock I have ever ran on. Y-Town at its finest.

I would like to personally invite all fellow scalers and crawlers in the PHX area. The more people that attend, the better the event. Some more event info...

Standard G6 format consisting of 40-50 gates with 2 laps

1.9 and 2.2 class
ultra if there are enough drivers

tow straps are mandatory
5 scale items are recommended
lights are recommended
winch recommended
Great attitude mandatory

Curious why this is friday and not the weekend?
I cant make this one unfortunately, but in future a weekend date would be much easier for me, as well as others here.

I realize Fridays are tough for out of towners but for this first event, Friday worked best for my local patrons. I hope there is enough interest created for future events, of which we could certainly plan for a Sat event. A few of us Yuma guys will be making a concerted effort to try to attend the 2013 PARC series in Phx. I hear there may be some scaler type runs also, sounds like fun.

Totally understand. Its just to close on time for me to get off work and make the drive in time. Now if it was a weekend, I could make a day of it for sure.

This one is on my wife's birthday and as much as a gift as it would seem, me being gone for the day isn't going to happen.
Hopefully I'll be able make a trip down sometime.

Thanks to all those that attended this first event and from the response and requests, I will plan another one in the future, Sat. this time. I ended up with 56 gates and two laps which resulted in a fastest adjusted time of over 2hrs. I missed the Phx support but understand its a long way to come for an event and Fridays are tough. See you next time.
