Got her to a roller.

Working on putting the electronics in now.
I plan on cutting out Monster energy cans for the body panels.

Looking good, I really like the looks of these edge tubers.

One thing though it looks like the monster ''M'' on the can is just a bit to big for body panels.

I believe so too. May have to drink some of the " XXL Mega Monsters" for the side panels. haha.

Still working on the front suspension right now. Tires keep rubbing the shocks. I've moved the lower links to the inner part of the axle and inside the chassis. Anyone else have this problem?

That looks awesome. I've got a dumbass newbie question, are your shocks what they call a droop set-up with the spring on the inside or do you not have the springs on yet? Let the newbie blasting begin.LOL

the shocks are supposed to go on the inside of the chassis.

spacers help too for the inside, here is my build thread if you need some ideas.

Got the electronics in and got to make 2 body panels. Still need to make the side panels.

Been talking to John at holmeshobbies.com about the pefect motor/esc setup for this rock racer. I think we came up with a quark 33 esc and a Scorpion HK-2221-12 motor. I may have to try the 5t puller motor though...hehe. I really hate this temporary xl5 and cheapie brushed motor...Its a rock racer for god sake!

Still needs lots of work and cleaning up to do, but so far im pretty pleased with everything.

Enjoy.

The hood came out about perfect!

Interested to see how you plan to lay out the sides

Ive had good luck using Shoe Goo and attach the aluminum to some lexan for the panels. IMO the aluminum is a little thin for panels by its self. Truck looks good

Edge looks great, doesn't your battery get in the way of clearance ?

guys have been using cans for tubers ever since i got into crawling, almost 2 years ago.

I'm def. not the first to use cans as panels or the first for monster logos. I'm just building what i like.

Took it out on the rocks and my panels got a beating. The can panels are going to be replaced with something more durable. Heres some pics.

Your right bro the cans dont hold up, I put my third set on overtop of thin delrin cut outs and then laminated them, that helped alot and they still get some wrinkleage happening to show abuse. Nice rig, dont forget the beadlocker outer ring like harleys that would really top yours off.
