I'm very pleased with the setup I have right now. The most noticable mod for me was the Edge Chasis, I'm running the same springs (just droop now) and I switched back to the 55mm upper links and I love it, it is way more predictable for some reason, I have plenty of wheel speed and I dont have to worry about the body getting caught up on rocks. Other than an occational glitch I'm very pleased with my truck.

-TCS Edge Chassis
-Novak Rooster Crawler
-Integy Matrix Pro 45t
-Tower Pro Mg 995 Steering Servo
-Traxxas 2215 3ch Receiver
-Axial Bent links front and rear
_TCS medium internal springs (droop)
-TCS Delrin 4 link front and rear
-TCS split pack battery on front axle
-RC4wd Rock Crusher tires (when they get here in the mail for now stock axials)
-6mm spacer on upper links
-Lower links tucked inside
-I used the battery tray supports to replaced the spacers behind the upper links and put a peice of lexan on each to mount my electronics and it helped a lot with the COG.
-all buttonhead screws on the outside of the chassis to keep it from getting hung up on anything.

Hope this helps

Trimmy,
Thanks for your info. My original thought was either to accept the wheel speed of my 55t or go to a 45t and possibly get a bit more wheel speed. Thanks again, I may just have to order a 45 turn. Cheers

You can always order one and see if you like it. $20 isn't that much for a totally diffrent truck, if you dont like it switch back to the 55t and you'll have a spare lol.

I paid 24.99 for my integy matrix pro 45t at my local hobby shop. I might got to a 35t or something like that just to see the diffrence. I was also thinking of buying the Novak goat system for my Edge and buying another ax-10 with an x-trail chassis to build a scale rig and using my current electronics for that, but thats about six hundred dollars away lol.

Integy Carbon Fibre chassis
Stock gearing
Stock springs
TCS four link mount/servo mount front, boomerang rear
Losi rock claws
2/3A split axle pack
integy 55 turn lathe motor
Novak rooster crawler
bump stops inside of shocks
4oz of lead in each front wheel
Tower pro 945 servo
DX3R BOO YEAH
as stated above, you should switch motors to a 45-35t. I hear alot of comp rigs are running 35 turns.

I would love to buy another AX10 to build a tuber. I have to slow myself down every once in a while, I have a 11 and 6 year old that both want RC trucks too. IF I ONLY HAD A MILLION DOLLARS!!!!! I am going to buy a 45t and see if that floats ma boat. I am currently "trying" an old TXT motor that I had lying around, it gives a lot of wheel speed, but my batteries don't seem to last when I am just crawlin. Take care.

Your truck sounds pretty sweet. I am going to buy a 45t and see if that does the trick......If not $20 here and there isn't going to break the bank. Thanks again.

Another way to get wheelspeed and more torque is to up your voltage. Do you know how many cells your ESC can handle? I run either a 3cell lipo(11.1v that peaks at 12.5ish)) or 10 cell 2/3A packs(12v that peak at over 15v). For ultimate power, wheelspeed and slow speed control, a Holmes Hobbies Cobalt Puller motor is where it's at. They are 2.75" long, so you would have to move your RX, but they are the best brushed motor available right now, hands down.

Nice looking truck!!! Hey what color powder is that? It looks like it goes pretty good with the axial green. If I can get a name I can have my buddy order the powder and powdercoat my edge for me.

Thanks, I have been looking at Holmes Hobbies for a while now but I wasn't sure which one to try. I may have to order the Cobalt. I have completely reworked my truck since those pics. The RX and ESC are near the back of the truck and the battery is all the way forward. My ESC is a Traxxas ?2215?. Not sure of the statistics off hand, although you have probably already answered your question. Hopefully I will get to meet all you guys in Pasco this weekend. Thanks again.
