Default It has been Driven!

finally the trucks done! and ready to be driven, charged up the lipos and hit the front yard, and neibors yard hahahaha....did some mods before i ran it:

CKRC stage 2 upgrade (should of piced it together myself)
CKRC y 3 link aluminum mount
punisher drive shafts
tuned spektrum controller
tuned mamba max

the perfomance was awsome! no torque twist at all!! spun the rear tires on the rims :(( i may be looking to buy a higher torque servo and a BEC soon. the rock claws worked great untill they got cloged with mud and got wet, then they were slick on mud/wet rocks..will be adding more weight to the front tires, to 6 oz each wheel. the integy shocks worked awsome!!!! with the RC18T blue springs front and rear and 30wt oil.

heres some pics (no action shots it was raining and cold)

How did you spin the tires on the rims? What rims are you using?

the stock axial rims....well i think it was more of a one time thing it happened 2 times...i was crawling up a rock and stuffed one front wheel, gave it some throttle, then front tire spin (complete wheels) and no rear tire spin, i thought i had broken something but i tore it apart and everything is a ok (thought it was drive shaft spin, like a backed out set screw, but they were all tight)! the only thing i did notice was the outside bearing for the pinion on the front axle was punning out about 1/4 the way.....any one with this problem? otherthan that i cant wait to test this rig on some dry rocks....will be heading to RCP this weekend, and ill try to make it on friday night. i may compete, though i have ZERO experience

Both the front wheels or just one stops spinning?

both the fronts stayed solid on the rims, it was just the rear, i have 2.5 oz of weight in each rear tire i may have to remove the weight they seem to be biting hard (always wanting to roll over), and i dont want to go dig set up yet hahahahaha. so it was just both the rear tires spinning in the rims.

Spun a rear spool once in mine. It acted the same way. Before I tore It apart I thought it was the Ring and pinion in the axle.

how easy is it to keep them from spinning? hold the rear wheels with your hand.

no its quite hard to get them to spin. i can hold the tire and try to spin the rims but nothing happens. i think some water or casting oils on the tire made them a bit slippy? i washed the tires and put them back on and nothing now. i burried it in the carpet but no tire spin

also, make sure the rock rings are tight enough, push them against the rim and then tighten them.

ill re check the tightness of the bolts, if it continues what should i do? msr10s work good for me i have changed the springs to the RC18T's rear springs. im thinking of going with the losi ones but i just dont feel like picing them all together......maybe i might do that. just kind of a comparison hahahahaha an 80 doller comparason hahahaha.

You could also check to see if you rounded out a hex in the wheel! Did that to!

Jason posted thes #'s up a while ago they are for the losi speed-t

jason wrote:

"The shocks are Losi units, built from all these part numbers:
LOSA5056 times 2=$39.90
LOSA5062 times 4=$28.00
LOSA5015 times 4=$8.00 (NOT LOSA5051)
LOSA5079 time 1=$4.00
LOSA6100 times 2 for spares=$2.50
LOSA5046 times 1=$3.00
LOSA2006 times 1=$4.00
They go together easier than any shock I have ever used and are super smooth.
I used Losi white springs times 2=$5.00
The left rear spring is a Traxxas Stampede grey=$2.00
The left rear shock is filled with Losi 50 weight oil=$3.50
The right rear shock is filled with Losi 30 weight oil=$3.50
The front shocks are both filled with Losi 20 weight oil=$3.50"

i didnt get the oils because ill get them at my local hbs. right now the oil levels in the shocks are below 1/4 full now (integy units).
