what i have...

this is what i was kinda thinking...
best price on the truck....

Ok this is my suggestion and I think you would be really happy.

AX-10 kit $230
RCP straight axle $30
RCP C's $25
RCP knuckles $25
Castle Creations Sidewinder $75
TCS BM9 Motor $30
Axial high clearance links $30
Losi Claws (like everyone else or go RC4WD Rock Crusher like I did) $40-50
Tower Pro MG946r Servo X2 $40
TQ3 Modded $10
Traxxas Big Bores $40
Your body and Paint $40
Misc hardware for stage 2 or whatever you need it for $30

That is what I would start with, prices are just a ballpark estimate. As for Novak ESC I would stay away from them my Rooster Crawler glitched way to much and now I am awaiting the new Sidewinder. Lol and good luck deciding what to spend the money on lol

I and two of my buddies have the goat brushless setup and its been great for us. I have never tried any others but i do know the goat has been good for us. If you want long run times look into a split pack lipo for the front axels. Someone on here just posted a picture of theirs...

i have the goat system and i really like it. I went from a rooster crawler and integy 45t to it and the low end smoothness and wheel speed is great. I havent had any cogging with mine. I run an r2d tho. I have never ran any mamba products so im not sure how they are. I also have the 7.2 volt venom battery from tcs and i ran it for 2 hours last weekend without charging. I was really supprised.

No coggin whatsoever...Its very smooth when programmed correctly. Just do ask me how to program it correctly my buddy does that for me I actually dont think it could get any smoother on power delivery than it is now....

I've got nothin' but love for the Mamba Max, smoooooooth.... Low and slow baby.... I've got it coupled up to either a nokak 55t or an Axiom 45T. I'm running 90tooth spur and a 12t pinion. The stock gearing is a little high. Kimbrough makes a nice 90t spur that bolts right up.
Also get some stick on wheel weights from a local tire shop and add a pound or so to the wheels, it is waaaay too light stock. Go for 60/40ish weight distribution. I used the Low CG battery plate from Axial with a Thunder Power 3s 1320mah lipo. I'm getting just over an hour run time. Depending on the servo you pick, a BEC is a good idea, good cheap upgrade. Best of luck with the build!! let us know how it turns out!!!

Oh I have a 7cell split pack from tcs that I'm happy with. Max amps just came out with an 860 split pack lipo that looks pretty sweet. Oh I'm getting over an hour of run time on my battery.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I didn't think novak esc were programable like Castle Creations!!!

if you get the goat system, you can program it by the esc.
