I borrowed my buddies ax 10 and i was looking at his setup. he used draino to remove the green, an old revo receiver and remote, 55t motor, nice fatuba MG servo, and 2.2 mud slingers. the real kicker is he took the foams out of the wheels and filled them with pennies. yes i said pennies. each wheel weighed 4 pounds. this thing crawled like a dream, the only problem is i striped the only plastic gear in the servo 4 times, not a costly problem but annoying. let me know what u think about using pennies instead of foam. |

i also have an ax 10, goat set up, and traxxas reciever and radio from my tmaxx. i have tried motorcycle wheel weights, shaving foams(few different ways) and finally, what seems to help the most so far is soft air, plastic bb's. they wont rust since they are plastic, and they also roll alot nicer than say pennies i would say cuz they are round. with beadlocks, the air is trapped in the tire, so they are soft like i like em and the bb's seem to work well.

pennies? air soft? try the zinc plated bb ...found at wal-mart i'm not running nearly that much...weight 8oz front/5oz rear rember that rolling or moving weights will change your cg on up n down hills... lead or a ridgid weight doesn't change..stays centered on axle ... moving weights(bbs)roll to the lowest point |

I would get tired of the noise. Weights cost 2 bucks at the LHS and you can measure how much you are adding.

| i didnt really count them i just used a small plastic cup (the clear shaving collector from a pencil sharpener) and added four scoops. so i knew they where even. i tried wheel weights stuck to the inside of my wheels, but just didnt like it. ( personal opinion, some guys love em.) im not saying i agree with anyone, im still testing things for my self, its just so far, for me, i like the green little plastic bb's the best. |

I ran over to the local FIRESTONE and bought their tire balancing stick on weights for custom rims. I then STUCK 3oz inside each tire and then wrapped with silicone tape. I also had drilled 2 1/8" holes in each rim for air to escape and let the tire quickly form to the rock surface. I also have star cut my foams. This is working GREAT!!!

I Took The Soft Air Bb's Out The Other Night. I Think Where I Drive(mainly In The Woods) The Tires With The Foams Trimmed And A Little Weight On Top My Steering Servo( Still Expierimenting With That) Works The Best. It Seemed More Prone To Roll Overs With Weight In The Tires.

I like the penny idea, it can get you wheel weight if you are unable to find any stick on stuff. while searching for stick on weights, I went to goodyear, firstone, napa, autozone, les shwab, harbor freight, and even jiffy lube. all of the tire places had them, but they all said that they couln't sell me them. DOH!

I've tried the bb's and lead weight around inside of wheels, prefered lead weights.
