Default Aluminum Transmission Outdrive!!??

I have noticed on my ax10 that the yolks connected to the outdrive shaft are coming loose all the time... I make sure to always use thread lock, and every time the yolks are loose, the set screw is NEVER loose... After closer inspection the end of the output shaft (part# AX30404) has a dimple in it from the set screw which is causing my looseness... Does any one else have this problem??!! Is there a hardened steel version somewhere out there? Looked on Axials site and didnt see one. Why is this part not steel?

We just have to be patient......I'm sure that they'll be coming out shortly.

Mine has a dimple too... that sounded weird... but yeah I just make sure the screw seats in to the dimple. IT has to be lined up perfectly with the flat face of the output shaft or it will slip. On a side note, once I ditched my crappy allen wrench for a Ti-Ni Integy allen driver, I could actually tighten it down 3 times more than with the crappy ones without stripping the screw or pinion. No locktite, 20 or so HARD runs, not once did the shafts pop loose.

yolks and drive shafts have nothing to do with the outdrives IN the transmission...;)

Yes, i know i use them on my ax10, but question was on the outdrives in the transmission, not the yolks and drive shafts...
