Default Battery question

Would I be able to fit 3 sub-c cells on either side of the servo on front axle? This would be with the tcs battery plates I am thinking that the cells would fit best if they were in a brick configuragion (triangle) and with the cells pointing up and down. Thoughts?

We tried it and they rubbed....Couldnt fit them no how. Ended up going with six 2/3 cells on the axel plates.

That stinks:-(. Does anyone know if the 4/5a 2000 cells on cheapbatterypacks.com would fit this way or should I just stick with the good ol' 2/3a 1500

If your dead set on the bigger cells you can just make up your own pack and wrap it over the servo or however it works best. I would just stick to the 2/3a and maybe get it in a 7 or 8 cell config if your charger can handle that many cells and your looking for more runtime tho the 2/3's give plenty of runtime for crawling imo

Go with an 8 cell of IB 1400's or even a 10 cell pack like I did. We do custom packs but all you pay for is the cells and hardware no charge for the pack construction. Check us out. www.maxamps.com

My understanding is that more cells means more power and less runtime? FYI; my charger has a max of 7 cells and my esc has a max of 6 cells so I have to stick with a 6 cell

1)more cells = higher voltage = more power
2)maH = run time
3)get a new esc and charger. here is what i have
battery : http://www.maxamps.com/Lipo-2100-111-Pack.htm
charger: http://www.maxamps.com/Eos6i-AC-DC.htm
esc: http://www.castlecreations.com/products/sidewinder.html

do some reasearch and see how much you want to get into crawling.

If I were you, i'd take an older, not much used battery, cut it up into individual cells, and lay 4 across the top of your servo, and then 2 on the sides of your servo, thats what i did, works like a champ. It is heavier than 2/3 cells though, but just take some weight out of your wheels or there is your wheight instead of wheel weights.

Alright guys 3 questions:

1) Is there a lipo saddle pack that will fit on the ckrcc battery plates on the front axle?
2) I am considering doing away with the battery plates on the front axle and going with axials battery/servo tray and mounting a lipo that way. Which lipo do you recommend in this configuration?
3) Would 4 or 6 cell nimh 4200's pack be too much weight on the front end? I have heard you want and try to keep the rig as light as possible.

You will have to excuse me I am new to lipos and know nothing about them.

Thanks for the help

The only Li-po saddle pack that will fit on the front plates is this one: http://www.maxamps.com/proddetail.ph...dlePack&cat=82 This link will show you what will fit on the Axial optional tray: http://www.nitrokillers.com/showthread.php?t=1135 and stick with 2/3rd cells on the front if you go the NimH route we have those available also.
