That's a DX3 and he's refering to a DX3.0. As far as I know there hasn't been a 3 position switch mod to the 3.0.

I might have to got to full droop, ride height is a little high with big bores...Ideally I'd like to find some springs that allow 1/2 uptravel &1/2 downtravel...

im currently running the 1/2 and half suspension, a good cheap way to buy the springs is to buy team losi mini-t front springs. they fit perfectly. just buy 2 sets. i got each set at my LHS for $5 a piece

Very nice looking rigs that both of you have. I was looking at that chassis from RC4WD but then I seen the Copperhead and I think that is the on that I will get. Also on the droop setup I read in another post that somebody used the springs out of a BIC pen. the just put the spring over the shaft on the inside and said that it works perfect.

rcp makes internal springs for full droop
i have them in the front shocks
and 1/2 droop in rear with losi yellow springs

the shock mounts are really weak and thin on this chassis
i have about 2 1/4 of belly clearence

diesel72 looks great but you need to get it closer to the ground
my first picture it has about 2 5/8 belly clearence
i have since lowered it a little more
and a lot of lead weight
keep the pictures comming
and i will do the same
thanx

a few new pic

you will notice the brass front shock mount
that is a quick fix for the poor very thin shock mount
i pinched the the stock metal mount between 2 pieces of thick brass
because the stock mounts keept bending and one of the small tack welds broke

In those pictures it's the stock Axial shock, with the upgraded shock bodies.

finally got to work on my axial based rock rider chassis. i just built an ax10 sw2 so my motivation hasn't been there for the rock rider. i got the axial tranny mounted up and everything else is ready to go. the only thing i have to do now is is get my upper link measurements once the axles are bolted up. i'll be posting pics once it's complete.
