Default Front axle mount batteries

I have the plates from CKRC on order and now i am looking for the split battery packs. It seems like everyone is running the 2/3A packs in the 6,7,ans 8 cell flavors. Are these cells really big enough? Is it possible to put sub c's on there?

Yea the 1500mah 2/3a's are great. Im running a 8c saddle on mine and Im getting just about an hour of run time with my MM, HH Crawlmaster sport and R2D with a 9t. You could get sub c's on there but they are a lot bigger and you wont be able to get as many cells on there.......

There not really needed. Low draw from the crawler/lathe type motors. You could if you want though, personal preference. Some peeps fab AA packs.

I'd seriously consider going 8 cell. The extra voltage is sweet. Weight and space don't become an issue until you go bigger than that.

Go with 8 cells if your ESC allows, I know the Novak's are 7 cell max, but most other ESC's should be good with 8. I picked up an 8 cell 1500 Elite from TCS, I'm really happy with the run times

I run a 6 cell 2500mah AA custom pack. It fits perfectly next to the servo on the bat/servo mount.

i bought the 6 cell nimh elite 1500 saddle pack. I would have gone for 8 but the rooster is 4-7. (i loved how smooth the rooster was on my wk)
the 6 cell gives me a balanced look in the front and i think it will have plenty of oomph

i would like to go more cells but im running a rooster so 7 cell is in the mail, what kind of run time are you guys getting out of them. specs are stock gearing with a rooster and integy 55t pro lathe and 7oz of weight in each front tire. i am guessing im going to get like 30-45min of run time. im pretty soft on the trigger finger.
