I keep eyeballing the BJ chassis, but then I'm like, "I just modded this or that on the suspension, need to take it out first. Do I really have time to rebuild the rig AGAIN?" and my wife will be like, "are you rebuilding that damn thing AGAIN?" heh-heh. That build looks tight. Love the zip tie fix, putting that one in the arsenal for quick comp repairs. I was lookin' at the photos trying to figure out that weird way you mounted the front links. It's 3:30AM I can't sleep, gotta give me a break. HLB2: Is the width the stock BJ width? it looks a little tight on that R2D tranny. I wanna run the VF dig setup an I'm hoping it'll fit okay... Drumbeater/evil old guy : Were you running the BJ at the last couple comps? Pic o' drumbeater's mad comp skills, with the infamous RCC team driver SlinkySam on the right: Also, here's a shot of what happens to a rig that places 11th in it's last comp. Let it be lesson to other rigs that don't place in the top three. Cheers, Rob Last edited by rdtshaw; 03-12-2008 at 05:45 AM. |

Yeah, the chassis is the stock width. The R2 is a little wide for it (but it is wide for pretty much anything), I think the AX10/VF setup would fit really well in there.

Cool, thanks for the info!! I think I'm gonna order the BJ chassis tonight. I have internal springs in the kit for a drop setup already and a spare set of big bores... Just so I can have the all too cool BJ army avatar. Cheers, Rob

You cant go wrong with a BJ lol. I love mine, I hate the droop set-up on it though, I ran droop for way to long on the edge so I am shopping for some shocks.

I got my Mayhem Double Phatty's today, these things are an absolute work of art!!!! I just go them mounted up, I had to take down the stock Axial hexs, it widened the wheelbase a little, which will be nice I think. Some pics: |
