| Found a new drive shaft for AX10
Hey everybody, I have not seen this done yet so I figured that I'd shere it. I have found an alternate to modifying tmaxx shafts, pede shafts and AX10 shafts even expensive punisher shafts....Esavage shafts, the long ones. Just drill the ends out with a 3/16 drill bit and then cut about 1/4" off off each end that connects to the output shafts of the tranny and diff and use a 4mm set screw to lock em in place. They have held up so far... very well in fact. |

bout 2x thicker, they are way more meaty, and a way longer but they fit perfectly, they can be chopped a lil if needed too.

How's clearance on the spur gear? That looks like it'd be tight.

The savage driveshafts are about the same size as maxx shafts, the pins on the trunnions are a little smaller on the savage shafts. The WK uses savage shafts and yokes, you can run maxx shafts with the stock yokes no problem. Only thing is, maxx shafts are cheaper |

I did something similar, ground down yoke next to spur gear, was all right at 1st, but after a couple of days of hard crawling/testing at certain degrees of articulation it rubbed, now the spur gear is fine. It is just chomping away at the yoke every now and then. I am running 87/14. I was think of stepping the spur gear down for clearance, then stepping the pinion gear down also. What company's make spur gears that fir the ax10 so I can try it out. Maybe something like 84/12?????
