Default Tyler's GC-1

Ok first off let me give a big thanks to Gatekeeper for taking a interest and hooking my son(Tyler) up with this chassis.

BUILD SPECS

GC-1 chassis
Revo 102mm links
12.5 wheelbase
Axial axles
Losi Claw tires
Traxxas big bore shocks with moded shock caps
Losi white springs front
Traxxas red springs rear
MM speed control
CC bec
55t motor with 10 tooth pinion
R2D trans
645 dig servo
645 steering servo
Proline rockstar body
MX-3 Radio

The chassis/links/shocks took some time to get to work correctly and i still need to switch to the losi yellow rear springs.

I had a few problems getting everything to clear and not bind. And fitting the R2D and servo in the chassis was a pain. But i must say the end product was well worth the work.

I plan to switch him to the Axail trans and VF dig and i have him a 5955 steering servo on the way. Once that is done i think this will be the ultimate setup especially for my sons driving style.

The chassis and link setup work great. There is hardly no axle swing or flex steer. This setup is amazing. When you are driving this setup it allows you to put the tires where you want them to go with out having axle swing and flex steer push you where you dont want to.

Here are a few pics

Now Tyler is going to whoop all of us! Austin better even watch out.

Have you had any problem with the modified shocks leaking?

No i have had no trouble at all. When i put the screw through the cap i used a dab of black Permatex on the screws. I have been running the same setup on my droop tuber with no issues with leaks also.

Well Tyler's truck now has all the bugs worked out and a few new parts.
I changed the motor to a 45t V11 and the pinion to a 10 tooth.I also ditched the 645 servo for a hitec 5995.

I do belive the rig and Tyler are ready for the East Coast Championships.
I hope he does well and beats some of the adults.

He was ready even before the new chassis! I am sure he will be taking out quite a few of us.
