“After months of development, MIP is launching suspension products to handle the most prevalent problem for racers in the crawler market,” says Eustace Moore, Jr., President of Moore’s Ideal Products, LLC. “Top racers frustrated with failing stock crawler parts tested our MIP product and said ‘Finally – it didn’t break’ when their crawler performance got them farther in the race than ever before! We think extending the tremendously popular MIP CVDs to crawlers such as the Axial Scorpion will raise the already high level of competition with our latest products engineered to maximize the stability and performance of these scale model rock crawlers.”

So are they just making drive shafts? Are they also making axles?

I would highly recommend a slipper with these. I have seen them, they are solid steel, weigh a bunch and will definatley not give any. I know they work for the stock transmission setup, but we had an issue fitting them onto a truck with a dig setup, there wasn't enough plunge.

Thanks,
Matt

I still haven't broken my axle shafts. I like the cvd sliders though, pretty slick.

If you're running high powered motors, you will still likely break these.

They WILL fail at the drive cup where the pin goes threw. I have broken about 6 RCP TLT CVD's with a 5t cobalt. These are the same manufacturer & I expect the same results.

Easy fix is to TIG weld the pin in the cup. Problem solved.

I wonder if I could get some brazing filler in there on my TLT set. I am running stocker axle shafts on the ax10

Not sure on the brazing filler, but maybe MIG it & grind it down.

With the TIG, I fused it together so that the pin will not rip out of the cup. If you look at the cup, there is bareley any material there where the pin goes. This is the spot that fails.
