| I'm gonna need some new lockers soon...
Like everyone else, my lockers are going bad. I know that there is a lot of information about upgrading lockers on rcc.com, but I would like to know which ones I should get by tomorrow (I am going to the hobby store which is 1 1/2 hours away). However most of the ones I know about are not available yet, or can only be ordered off the internet. ---Option one: sintered steel lockers from axial-I dont think these have come out yet, but I know that they are in the rtr ax10, and I like the "no cross-pin" design. ---Option two: freak stuff racing stainless steel locker-I've heard good things about them ---Option three: new era lockers-dont know any details except that they exist ---Option four: rc4wd TracGear spool locker- dont know a lot of details, I gather that it replaces the locker and the locker holder thing with one piece? Obviously there are more aout there, so if you know of a good one that wont break the bank, please tell. Also, if you have any opinions on the 4 I listed, please tell. Thanks everyone Oh, and also, please dont flame me for being a "noob" or whatever for asking a frequently asked question. I created this thread to help me, and to provide easy to find information on a common problem for other people that have the same question. |

id also like to get some...but as i have found out since getting into crawling...either monitor the pre-orders like a hawk so you can be the first on the list....or be ready to wait..

You could also look into the Titanium lockers now available in the vendor section |

Freakstuff SS lockers have been taking a serious beating in my rig. With a 7t cobalt and tires that are barely comp legal I'm impressed. Most of the guys I know run them and I havent heard of a failure yet.

Also, the weight over aluminium isn't too much of an issue, as its down low. May actually benefit some rigs.

You can also modify the RCGuy WK lockers to drop right in. $10 a set is cheap and they won't let go on you.

I love my Freak Stuff lockers....they are handling some good abuse without any signs of wear. I even posted my positive review of them on Big Squid RC.
