the panels are made from a lexan sheet and painted white. i tried the droop springs on my edge setup that i had and didnt' really care for it. i like the added ground clearance and plus i've never noticed any loss in performance so i'll stick with the external springs. plus, if i drop it down i'll be way over the 12.5" wheelbase.

oh also bent links in front, i found out that the drive shaft will catch on rocks and push you to one side straight links and the pumkin turned up a little , it will slide on the links first just MO.... to let you know the front top shock mount will bend and sooner or later will break the mount after several roll overs... not sure what it is about the droop set up. i'm just not too big on it. i've always like the sprung stance look. once i get a chance to test it out i will know more whether i need to play around with the suspension more. as it is now it's very plush...

i'm right at about 3" of ground clearance. the shocks are the threaded aluminum hot racing shocks. they are 120mm from eye to eye. yeah, it does sit a little high but i'll play around with it some once i get it complete and run it... the chassis alone is very heavy...

with that tuber being a little top heavy you will find that 2 1/2 and under works good.. i had my rockrider at 2 1/8 and decided it was too low, didnt roll over as much, but hung on stuff it should not have.. its now at 2 3/8 and works good..... |

I'd say definitly go for a 50/50 semi droop. That or some shorter shocks. Your ride height is a little high. I belive droop setups are overrated, my truck seemed really unpredictable in my testing. I don't know what you crawl but generally lower equals better when it comes to climbs and sidehilling. Also maybe flip your shocks upside down. It will help to lower the center of gravity a bit, small I know but every bit helps. That truck is super clean, I love the blacked out look. |

thank you very much. i do have a set of the traxxas aluminum big bores that came off edge chassis build. only reason i didn't put them on is i didn't care for how they mounted up. the back shocks angled back some but the front shocks stood almost straight up from the axles to the chassis mounts. with the front shocks standing at an almost straight up position, the lower retainers got in the way of my battery plates on the front axle as well.
