| driveline play
I am noticing that I now have lots of play in my drive line. It moves more than it once did. Is this just from gears being worn? What can I do to fix it? Thanks |

Chances are your lockers are worn - check out the many offered in the vendor section - the stock ones are alum. - get some upgraded ones.

Rocksmith Engineering makes Titanium lockers. You will never have slop there again. Never |

Try the Stage 3 Lockers. Good price and much better then the stockers.

While you are on the phone, try checking your set screws and making sure they haven't backed out. |

I think any of the aftermarket choices are PLENTY strong. I agree Mr. Pink, hows one better than the next? As long as its durable and locks my tires together...I could care less of the material..be it JB Weld or Tungsten Carbide That said, if I ever do blow a stock one, I'll go for the cheapest piece..as my stockers have gotten me by since the FIRST batch of Ax-10s went out Then again Im not running 3 ft/lbs of torque like some of us |

regardless of what lockers you use..your still gonna have some driveline play..for one..you will have it in your axle stubs/dogbones and there is also play in the wheel hexes..the pin wears them out..but either way ..new lockers do make a BIG differene..but it will never be completelly play free unless all that stuff is addressed

Thanks for the input. I pulled the axels apart and sure enough the lockers are very worn. My LHS had some after market lockers that I grabbed. I know they are not "the best" as far a strength because the are aluminium, but they were $12 for the pair. My wallet looked the them as the best this week. Thanks again |

Regarding axle play. My AX10 has only 3-4 hour of running time and I have some play in my axles. Think itīs been there from the beginning? How much play is ok? As it is now I can move the car back and forth aprox 10mm. Is that right? |
