Default Angled Lower Links?

Hi guys. Can someone please explain the geometry basis of moving lower links from parallel to triangle?

Interestingly, I have seen this triangle setup in both two possible ways; rccrawler comp rig build guide suggests to set triangle vertex to the axle (narrow on the axle, wider on the transmission plate) says this fights rear steer, whilst Stage 3 Racing offers triangular link designed in opposite way, wider on the axle with triangle vertex on the transmission plate. Things can NOT be more different! ;)

My own observation shows links in parallel ELIMINATE axle steer, while links angled towards the axle PRONOUNCE axle steer. I did simple experiment, front end set parallel, rear end angled and then rolled the chassis from one side to another and carefully monitored axle angle. My findings are as above...

btw: Sorry for my language and grammar, English is not my mother tongue, so I hope you got the idea.

Long story short.....I think it just changes the center or pivot point on the axle.

Ok, maybe it's too short for me to understand. What is this for?
